The Three-Year Advanced Apprenticeship Programme
To secure the future of the trade, the association officially oversees a structured, three-year advanced apprenticeship programme (lärlingsutbildning). In this immersive programme, apprentices work side-by-side with an approved master supervisor in an established workshop, learning the deep secrets of the trade through practical, daily hands-on experience. Upon successful completion of the three years, the apprentice qualifies to undertake the official Swedish Journeyman Examination. We warmly welcome aspiring talents from all nations to apply for our future apprenticeship openings.
International Scholarships and Funding Opportunities
The association is actively aligning itself with global foundations, philanthropic foundations, and trusts dedicated to the preservation of endangered heritage crafts. As the manufacture of the traditional gossamer calico body requires highly specialised, long-term training, our goal is to facilitate international scholarships and grants to financially support future apprentices.
By engaging with these global institutions, we ensure that these world-unique artisan techniques can be reintroduced where they have vanished in a deeply respectful, non-commercial manner. We firmly believe that this sacred skrå-knowledge must never be monopolised or owned by a private corporation; it must remain an open, protected cultural asset preserved entirely for the benefit of future generations.
